Australian band in London, The Wattles, are set to release their first song from their upcoming ‘Fooled’ EP on November 1 2023

Take It Or Leave It

Take It Or Leave It unveils The Wattles’ climatic and compelling songwriting with charm and skill. As the first single to be released from their upcoming Fooled EP, this genre-blending track sets the tone for what is yet to come.

This track speaks to the messiness of a long-term love; looming departures, newfound independence and or joy beyond.

The track leads with a dramatic instrumental piece, followed by a indie-soul-influenced ballad, and rounded out with a dark and enigmatic outro that is reminiscent of the end of a relationship.

In January, the band won a recording package at Golden Retriever Studio through FBi Radio where they recorded the majority of this EP.

The Wattles have also recently moved to London and are launching this track at their first headline UK show on November 3rd.

Earlier this year, the band were fortunate to win a recording opportunity with Golden Retriever Studio, working with the talented Simon Berckelman.

Over the two days the band recorded the majority of their upcoming EP and made final recording touches and overdubs at their home studio in Sydney.

ABOUT THE WATTLES

The Wattles are a compelling female-led Sydney band that play honest and climatic indie rock.

Now based in London, the Australiana band are set to release their biggest body of work their EP ‘Fooled’ over the coming months.

In the lead up to moving abroad, The Wattles released nine popular singles, a groundswell of attention on their latest release ‘The Wrong Idea’ and scored major shows at iconic Sydney venues such as Luna Park.
